Hi, I  have  done  the  following  3  steps :

1) fetched http://svn.m0n0.ch/wall/branches/freebsd8/build/newbuild/go.sh

2) then executed go.sh

3) executed 'bash doall.sh'  or execute each of the 5 shell scripts.

if all goes well, you will have generic iso and generic img in /usr/m0n0wall/build81/images/ - As stated
on  (/branches/freebsd8/build/newbuild)

I  got  a  prompt  on  my  FreeBSD  interface  which  states  "Files to Patch"
I'm  not  sure  what  it  really  meant  or  how  I  should  continue  re-structuring  the  image  file
from  here. Could  someone  help  me  please ?

are you using freebsd 8.1 or 8.2 ?  if 8.1 , try against 8.2 .

what are the lines before that error ?  they indicate the file it can't  patch ...

Hi,

It  is  actually  not  an  error.

The  prompt  that  I  got  after  working  through  the  given  steps  is  :  "Files to Patch"
Which  means  I  could  begin  patching.

But  still  I  don't  know  how  to  patch  the  file ...
I  would  need  some  help  in  this  area..

Did you ever get past this, I am stuck at exactly the same place, my file above the request "File to patch" is syslogd, but nothing I can do makes it work, or I get a string of Hunk errors instead

i'm guessing you didn't install all the sources ?

i just did a build on a fresh install of 8.3 without this error

run sysinstall, select configure, distributions, src,  then select All, and install
