Hi,

I would like to ask how to shutdown my monowall in a safe way? It is a home system, and it should be operate only during the day. Can I simply pull out the power cable if I use CF card, or maybe it will destroy the monowall filesystem?

I would like to change the hardwer to an alix board, and I have a 90Mb isp connection. Could you give me some advices if the following system is enought for this data rate?
alix2c10 = 2 LAN / 2 miniPCI / LX800 / 256 MB / USB
Spec: CPU: 500 MHz AMD Geode LX800
DRAM: 256 MB DDR DRAM

thank you very much

Hi, I just switch off the power supply and it goes down without problem, no loss of data, no SC Card broken,

I had problem once, but the power supply was not properly designed and too small to supply the ALIX, the Power Supply get broken and burned the ALIX Board.

Now the Power Supply is 5 time bigger in power to what is needed, and no problem anymore.

There's no a second possibility to make a good first impression.

No.

Soekris is about to release a net6501 that should easily do over 100 mbs.
