Hi All,

I've had a good search and found a few years ago asking similar q's, some say yes, some say no...

I've setup the CP and added a list of MAC addresses. When running DHCP, every MAC is happily authenticated without any user interaction other then opening up a browser (no user/pass required).

However if I set my laptop to static no such love (I know the settings on the laptop are correct as if I disable the captive portal it all works nicely with no host changes).

So, I am wondering if
1. This can work with static addresses and general (public) DNS servers (it does seem to have authenticated some users) and if not
2. Can it work with static's on provis the m0nowall IP is entered for DNS (with DNS forwarding enabled)?

Thanks!
