Hi all,

I've bagged myself a Firebox X500 relatively cheap off ebay and am following this setup guide to get things up and running.

After following the tutorial I boot the Firebox I connect to COM1 using the serial port and hyper terminal using 9600/8/n/1 connection settings with flow control set to none.

Once connected i see the boot text scrolling down the screen and when it stops i see this:

Code:
Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/md0
pid 32 (sh), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped)
Enter full pathname of shell or RETURN for /bin/sh:

Should I not see the console menu?

I'm unsure of what to do next....

Can someone please advise...?

Regards

Google on:

"Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/md0"

and see if there is anything applicable to your situation. Don't limit yourself only to m0n0wall, this is coming from FreeBSD which is what m0n0wall is built on.

Good luck.
