is this a hardware error on the soekris board or has the cf gone bad?

md0: Preloaded image </mfsroot> 16777216 bytes at 0xc086b0e8
ad1: FAILURE - SETFEATURES SET TRANSFER MODE status=51<READY,DSC,ERROR> error=4<
ABORTED>
ad1: 15MB <LEXAR ATA FLASH V1.00> at ata0-slave BIOSPIO
Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/md0
kern.coredump: 1 -> 0
Found configuration on ad1.
sis0: link state changed to UP
sis1: link state changed to DOWN
sis2: link state changed to DOWN

also getting the following when i try to login to the gui

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}', expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /usr/local/www/auth.inc on line 53

I have always seen similar from my m0n0wall, and I don't run on a Soekris. It's related to CF card usage.

Code:
md0: Preloaded image </mfsroot> 16777216 bytes at 0xc0ad4c04
ad0: FAILURE - SETFEATURES SET TRANSFER MODE status=51<READY,DSC,ERROR> error=4<ABORTED>
ad0: 15MB <TOSHIBA THNCF016MAA 1.1> at ata0-master BIOSPIO
Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/md0

As for the other problems you are having, I don't know. Perhaps the image is corrupted, or the CF card is bad.
