We use M0n0wall as a corporate solution for a captive portal guest-access network which allows vendors, guests, and employees of our company access to the internet. We've tweaked version 1.33 and it is in production on our virtual prod environment for 9 months now, as it replaced our Cisco BBSM. No major complaints, runs great and is used by about 150 people daily!

My question... Many users connect with an iPad or Android device. Naturally the iPad capitalizes the first letter of the username. This case-sensitivity is a major user annoyance as the M0n0wall captive portal appliance is case-sensitive. Rightly so, it being a Unix build. Has anyone ever modified the appliance to NOT be case-sensitive for username? How can it be done?

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
