Ich suche momentan Informationen über Captive-Portal und die Funktionsweise.
Bei wikipedia gibt es ja den Eintrag, allerdings in Englisch. Nicht dass das ein Problem darstellt, aber ich verstehe folgenden Absatz nicht, vorallem sinngemäß:

IP Redirect
Client traffic can also be redirected using IP redirect on the layer 3 level. This not recommended as the content served to the client does not match the URL

Wäre super wenn ihr mir das erklären könnt. Habt ihr evtl. noch andere Quellen wo man mehr über Captive-Portal erfährt? Vor- und Nachteile, technische Hintergründe bei dem Authentifizierungsvorgang etc.
