Hi

Just wondering if there are any security implications when following the wiki to basically have two interfaces using one physical interface? http://wiki.m0n0.ch/wikka.php?wakka=accessingmodemoutsidefirewall

Basically, my WAN (interface em1) has PPPoE on it. Now I believe this creates a virtual dialer interface (ng0) for the actual PPPoE connection.
Per the guide, I manually created OPT1 by editing the config, and used used the WAN interface (em1) again.

given it's in the wiki, I assume this is fairly secure?

Cheers
