Hi,
I would like to know what embedded hardware would support a 100mbit WAN connection? Currently I use an Alix board for a 50mbit fiber connection but my telco is going to be offering upgrades to 100/200mbit in the near future. This would mean having gigabit NICs, but what processor would I need? I have seen fanless cards with dual gigabit and intel atoms (Dual-core
D2700@2.13GHz from Jetway or intel Atom D510 from Supermicro) would these be sufficient? (The m0n0wall sizing guide recommends 2.8GHz Pentium for gigabit)
Note: the reason for the embedded h/w is because it will be installed in a wiring closet and needs to be low power/low heat.
Thx
Alan
