Hi,

I use workon.sh on freebsd 8.2 for modification the 1.8 image file,
but after close the image file with this script, size of image file increasing
to 18MB but the actual size of it before close is 11 MB.

I do not add any extra file into it.

What's wrong?
What can i do to decrease the size of image?

I don't have an answer for you, perhaps cmb will chime in, it's his script. Maybe it's not being compressed on close?

My experience with the v1.3 series is that they easily fit in a 16MB CF card which I have a few of.

v1.8 will not fit in 16MB and the next larger CF card is 32MB, but finding any that small is hard these days.

An 18MB v 1.8 image will still fit into the smallest usable for v1.8 CF card so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

The increased image file can not boot the system and after show this message,
the boot process going freeze and don't do any action.

BTX loader 1.00 BTX version is 1.02

I think the address of loader program in image file is wrong.

Then I'd say the workon.sh script is not compatible with v1.8 and will need some attention.

When i retried making image with this script, the boot process can boot the
system properly and the problem sloved.

but the image size after zip it going increase.(this is not a critical problem)

Must have been a glitch. I have had occasional problems with successful image writes to CF not booting. Trying again seems to solve it. No idea why this is though.
