We've been using m0n0wall with Captive Portal (AD authentication through Multi-Tech RADIUS server) for over 6 years without any problems (current version 1.236 ). However, in the past few days, users are not being permitted to login (authentication error) and we see the following in the Captive Portal log:
ERROR: username, a4:ba:db:99:98:71, 172.16.140.235, Error sending request: No valid RADIUS responses received
I have tried pointing m0n0wall to an IAS RADIUS server also on the network with the same result (the IAS logs show a successful authentication but m0n0wall still shows the error above). A reboot of M0n0wall and Multi-tech RADIUS server will usually allow authentication to work for a few hours and then we receive the errors again.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
