Hello

I've tried to configure a alix based M0n0wall to connect with Apple Remote Desktop from WAN to a Computer on LAN... The rules that I've configured looks like this:

WAN: 192.168.2.240/24
LAN: 192.168.1.1/24
OPT: -

So, now I would like to connect form WAN to a Computer in LAN.

My IP on WAN is: 192.168.2.250
The Computers IP on LAN is: 192.168.1.250

I've configured the Firewall like this:

Firewall->NAT->Inbound:

Rule 1:

If: WAN
Proto: TCP/UDP
Ext. Port range: 3283
NAT IP:192.168.1.250
Int. Port range: 3283
Descr.: 3283

Rule 2:

If: WAN
Proto: TCP/UDP
Ext. Port range: 5900
NAT IP:192.168.1.250
Int. Port range: 5900
Descr.: 5900

Firewall->Rules->WAN:

Rule 1:

Proto: TCP/UDP
Source: *
Port: *
Destination: 192.168.1.250
Port: 3283
Descr.: 3283

Rule 2:

Proto: TCP/UDP
Source: *
Port: *
Destination: 192.168.1.250
Port: 5900
Descr.: 5900

Ok. all other settings are "factory default"...

Now I tried to connect from the WAN to my Computer in the LAN network with Apple Remote Desktop...

But this doesn't run...

It will be always blocked by the firewall...

*** The Apple Remote Desktop tool needs to have this two ports open... to run properly... ***

I hope so, someone can help me out by this issue!

I've no idea whats wrong on this configuration...
And I've tried at minimum 100 times 100 different combinations...
But nothing worked for me...

Please help me!

Best regards

You say the IP of the computer in the LAN you want to connect to is 192.168.1.10, but you use 192.168.1.250 as the target in your NATs and Rules.
