Hi

My first ventures into monowall. It looks good from what I have seen, so thanks... I have got v1.33 install on a Soekris: net5501.
I've configured most of monowall how I need it but I'm struggling to get WAN connection.

I have a speedtouch home ADSL modem connected to the WAN port. Using the PPTP, I can not get a connection to the ISP. The set up is:

Speedtouch Home 10.0.0.138

Monowall
PPTP
Username: as assigned by ISP
Password: as assigned by ISP
Local IP address: 10.0.0.139/24
Remote IP address: 10.0.0.138

I have been using this setup with IPCOP V1.4.x for years but couldn't work out the V2 flash install so looking to move to monowall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
James

I don't use PPTP to connect to my ISP, they require PPPoE.

This really doesn't have anything to do with the modem, as it is a bridge only.

What catches my eye is:

Local IP address: 10.0.0.139/24
Remote IP address: 10.0.0.138

Where do these come from?

Not that there should be a conflict, but the default IP address for the modem's management interface is 10.0.0.138/8
