I made a NAT Rule for SSL (443 TCP) to the local ip of the m0n0wall. In my case 192.168.1.254!
If I connect to <externip>:443 I get the Webinterface! Works fine for me! Smiley

best regards
Chris

If you get the certificate pop up the firewall rule is working. There shouldn't be anything else to it, only thing I can think of is if you hit cancel on the certificate pop up rather than OK.

I hit Yes at certificate window. I try with firefox and explorer 6,7. I think that is something with my settings in monowall, but i don`t know what.

I've got the exact same problem, receive the cert windows, prompts for username and password, then the browser windows is stuck in waiting.....!

Anyone found a solution to this....?

There must be some bug with new firmware, problem start with upgrade to new firmware. Can I load older firmware back?

You can downgrade the same way you upgrade without causing any issues. If you can replicate this repeatedly on a new version and not an older version, post a new thread in the bug section.

Hi Guys

Some feedback, tested it again and it's working. For some reason the bult-in ssl cert does not work from the outside.

Here's how I did it.

1. Download OpenSSL Toolkit for Win32
2. Download ActivePerl for Win32

Generate our own cert.pem and key.pem using this document:

http://www.mobilefish.com/developer/openssl/openssl_quickguide_self_certificate.html

Then under System Advanced, copy an paste the contents of your cert.pem and key.pem into webGUI SSL certificate / key  windows, save it and save the Advanced page, reboot m0n0wall.

All should be working form the outside using SSL.
