Topic: b512 - 14% CPU load through interrupts  (Read 2113 times)

As stated in my other thread I just installed 1.8 at home.
When idle the box now has 14% CPU load all of which top accounts to interrupts. I'm curious if this is normal behaviour, or how I can check what causes this load. vmstat and systat are not available in m0n0wall, so I have no idea how to check. No hardware changes, 1.3 was running just fine.

What hardware are you running on, including the NICs?

In System: Advanced setup, can you try to enable Device Polling? Might help if your NICs are supported.

I'm already using device polling, it significantly helped throughput on 1.3... Not sure if trying to turn it off now would make sense.

It's a good old VIA EPIA 800MHz, booting from a USB key. I'm always using it to test new setups and modifications, and I never had problems with it. There's an IDE HDD in the box too where I dd the image to if it works fine.
NICs are the onboard one and a dual-port gbit intel

Excerpts from dmesg regarding hardware:

Does this help in any way?

Code:
$ /tmp/vmstat -i
interrupt                          total       rate
irq0: clk                         180289        996
irq5: ehci0                          252          1
irq8: rtc                          23074        127
Total                             203615       1124

systat unfortunately seems to be an interactive ncurses tool.
