Hi,

I run m0n0wall 1.8.0b510 as a virtual machine on ESXI 5.0.0.
On the WAN side is a Intel 82574L and on the LAN side i use a E1000 virtual adapter.

When the machine starts the starts i get no IP from DHCP on the WAN interface, but if i restart m0n0wall all works as expected. I also tried with a Intel 83576 and had the same problem. If i use a E1000 as wan adapter everything works.

Anyone know to solve it?

I am not sure if I understood You well, however use e1000 on all the interfaces, that should solve the problem.

There's another thing I've noticed - on other virtualization platform I've run into trouble with VLAN tagged frames not passing through using the e1000 but that's another story and I don't know if it's applicable to ESXI.
