I remember a while ago someone asking about running a ssh daemon on a m0n0wall router. The answer was basically that it wasn't in the scope of m0n0wall since the OS doesn't even have a shell built-in and there was no good reason to include one. While I agree with that opinion, there is cases where I'd love to be able to log on my router and be able to run something like tcpdump to know exactly what's going on the router and being able to capture the packets information and parse it later with something like wireshark.

I'm currently running 1.8.1b529.

Nobody ever came around with feature requests like that one?  I'm aware that I could go and pick up pfSense instead, but I happen to like m0n0wall. Wink
