Hi All,
just got a new client that fired their old IT provider. Here is the situation. Two sites (Site A and Site B). Both run monowall firewalls. Site A is the main site and has 2 servers - 1 SBS and 1 WIN2k8. These are 10.1.10.5 and 10.1.10.50 respectively. Site A monowall is 10.1.10.2 and Site B monowall is 192.168.50.2. I have XP and Win7 PCs on both sides. Everything worked as of yesterday after we had a power supply go out on the Site A monowall. Got that replaced and internet and VPN was working as of last night. This morning Site B XP and Win7 clients cannot connect to the second server 10.1.10.50 - they can however connect (via mapped drive) and ping the main server on Site A (10.1.10.5). The ping from Site B PCs to Site A second server (10.1.10.50) dies with no returns.
I have looked over all the settings on both firewalls and the VPN is getting established and all looks to be fine. Cannot for the life of me figure out why they can access one PC (10.1.10.5) and that one only. Pings from Site A to Site B multiple addresses work fine.
Thanks

Sounds like a WINS issue.  Are you running WINS on the SBS server?  Is WINS defined in the DHCP server on both m0n0walls?  If you have connectivity, but not resolution, it is a naming issue.  Setting up WINS properly can help a lot with this.
