hello
soory for my english
I'm trying to install m0n0wall on a Firebox x500, I followed this guide

but when I turn it on I see through Hyperterminal this and so not booting :

Please try with the generic-pc-serial version of m0n0wall instead and let us know if that works.

Check the port settings... I beleve that they are 115200 not 9600 8-n-1  they FB is only 9600 during bios.

I found the problem! 4 capacitors broken !
I have replaced and now works

Were they swollen or burst? I had a machine go bad that way but replacing the caps didn't save it.

Fairly common problem on old hardware of a certain period caused by defective electrolyte.

slightly swollen...for this I have not noticed
