When I power cycle my CLEAR WiMax modem, I also have to release and renew the m0n0wall's WAN DHCP to get Internet connectivity again.  The WAN Interface status shows "no carrier" and DHCP "Up" with the modem's power removed and m0n0wall never release the old IPV4 address and apparently doesn't try to renew it when the interface shows "up" again.

I maybe missing something here but it seems like a possible bug to me.

System log shows:

kernel: em1: link state changed to DOWN
kernel: em1: link state changed to UP

but No dhclient: log entries!

Problem Solved.

Switched to pfSense 2.1   Smiley
