I am planning on creating some custom m0n0wall builds for stuff like this. Speaking of which, it might be a good idea to have a separate forum for m0n0wall derived projects. I've been thinking about a m0n0wall based virtual machine server with QEMU. Wouldn't take too much room, and it would run something like freenas.

there's a vmware version of a virtual monowall already. you can run it on the free vmware player. check out http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/appliances/directory/150
