Hi,

I´d like to setup a kind of public VPN server (I don´t know whether that´s the correct term at all). So I have clients that

1. connect to the public IP (WAN interface of m0n0wall)
2. get an private IP address assigned from the PPTP-pool
3. should have all their traffic get routed back/NATed through the public IP

So, 1 and 2 are running. I can login, get one IP address from the pool. But that´s it. There´s no connection out of that subnet. When I tracert something to an external homepage I see the public IP of the WAN interface. I cannot got further. Also  I cannot ping the IP address of that WAN interface.

So, there´s something missing. Perhaps some other (outgoing) NAT rule? It would be great if someone give me some hints or a link.

Michael

Do you have an outgoing firewall rule on the PPtP interface?
