Hi im new to pptp but not to networking. I,m haveing trouble conecting to my 2 nas drives via a pptp conection.
ok ill explane the best i can pls bare with me.
My mono box is connected to net via wan fibre.
I have a lan with a ip of 192.168.66.1/24 with a dhcp pool of 192.168.66.2 to 192.168.66.47 and a wireless card bridged. All clients can connect to internet and to nas drives. the 2 nas drives have static ip,s of 192.168.66.43/24 and 192.168.66.44/24
I have setup pptp with a server address of 192.168.66.68 and a remote address range of 192.168.66.48/28 16 addresses and a firewall rule to allow pptp to any.
When conected to vpn useing my mobile as modem i can connect to vpn and get internet access but cant access nas drives i can access monowall gui and i can ping lan ip and both nas drives. tried turning off firewall and eset antivirus with no joy.

lan 192.168.66.1
dhcp pool 192.168.66.2 to.192.168.66.47
nas drives 192.168.66.43 and 192.168.66.44
pptp server address 192.168.66.68
remote range 192.168.66.48/28
Any iput would be greatly receved thanks.

This could be a name resolution issue.  Try mapping to your NAS by ip address.

Hi thanks for the reply. Unfortunately i cant connect to my vpn at all via my 3g iphone conection now.(worked fine the other day).so can test untill i get that working again realy pulling my hair out now. Huh

Hi finaly got it all working thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It seems it must of been a dns problem cos i managed to ftp into my nas drives. think it mybe becouse i reserved my nas ips making them static and cant be resolved for some reason.

Put the IP mappings in the DNS forwarder, and they will resolve to the VPN client.  (Assuming the 3G network lets you...)
