Hi!

A friend of mine just gave me a mini-pc (or whatever they are called) which uses a CF-card. But the card seems to the broken, so I thought maybe I could use a USB-stick instead of a CF-drive or a HDD?

Is this possible?

Will that PC boot from USB? If so, then maybe m0n0wall can be booted from it. You have nothing to lose by trying other than the cost of a cheap USB thumbdrive.

Also, you can find 32MB CF cards on the used market (ebay) for very little money, around $5US. You will need a device to write to the card, and those can be found on ebay for less than $5US.
