Hi,

I have a good working installation of the monowall.
This is installed on a Dell Optiplex GX520 with two network cards.
I have a NAT configured with a few rules. So far so good. Everything works fine.
Now I liked to swap the hard drive to a Compact Flash card and make an update of (generic-pc-1 33.img) to (generic-pc-1 34.img).

I installed the IDE CompactFlash adapter with image (generic-pc-1 34.img) installed on another PC (same model).
Then I made the port and IP configuration. And finally, I have the configuration of the current monowall installation (generic-pc-1 33.img) uploaded into the new installation on the compact flash card (generic-pc-1 34.img).
It boots and it looks ok so far so good. But the NAT doesn’t work and I have no idea why?

with kind regards.

Look at the configs in the respective web guis for differences.  there is no good reason that should fail.

Hi,

I checked all the settings, everything looks ok.
I have no idea why it fails. Same PC model except for the NIC, but I tested in the other (original) it works. Is the hard disk replacement to compact flash the reason for the failed installation.

I guess I will need to see the config.  When you sanitize it, try not to remove the data I will need...  Like if you have to obfuscate an IP address, do the first 2 octets, not the last 2.  Like xx.xx.34.12/24 not 192.168.xx.xx... Smiley
