I enabled PPTP server ..it is working
i connect with win xp vpn client...but when I do a ipconfig is this:

Windows 2000 IP Configuration                                                                                     Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:                                                                                   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . : mydomain.lan
        IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.51
        Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
        Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

PPP adapter Virtual Private Connection:                                                                                   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :
         IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.32
         Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
         Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.32

the vpn gives me the IP 192.168.1.32 and a gateway 192.168.1.32 (I think this is the problem, that gateway)
After I connect to VPN i want to access a local web server on 192.168.1.30 but it doesn't work

Anybody know what am I missing, pls ?

Your local subnet can't be the same as your remote subnet. Your PC sends traffic for 192.168.1.0/24 to the local network, when it needs to be sending it across the VPN. You'll have to change the subnet on one of the sides.

The IP and gateway being the same is normal.

Change you local to 10.x.x.x, 172.16.x.x-172.31.x.x or 192.168.x.x and the remote netwrok to one of the ones you did not chose, this should fix your problem because as CMB stated both networks must use a different ip addressing scheme.

if you want to access SMB shared folders (Windows or linux sharing) try to setup the WINS! This will solve your access problem! But firs verify conection with a ping, after you create the necessary rules to allow PPTP trafic to LAN!
