I have m0n0wall as a VM on EXSi 5.1 that has 2 physical NICs

When I connect the first nic, I can access the host and m0n0wall, get to the config page and all.  But as soon as I connect the second nic to the modem (making sure it is setup as the WAN interface), m0n0wall config page  is no longer reachable.  I can still access the VMware host, and connect to the console of the VM but cannot access the web gui. I have tried switched the connections around and even resetting to defaults and started over again but to no avail.

Can anyone suggest what the issue is?

The VMware config...  As the v-switches totally separate, not just the nics?
