In Diagnostics: Logs | Settings, it would be useful to be able to specify an alias instead of an IP address for the Remote syslog server.

I like the idea. It could even be broaden to all IP address fields in the HMI.

Absolutely; anyplace that calls for an IP could probably benefit from accepting an alias.
