Installation

Sorry my englih....

Hi!, im trying to run monowall and translate the manual to spanish but i frezze in the begining
I burn the CD Image....
put a blank floppy...
and reboot...
normal boot (only spalsh a message about PC CARDS but i think is wifi stuff and ignore)

here's the problem:
boot OK
menu OK
i can change IPs and all the stuff... but...
i CANT ping the host (from or to mono, nothing!)

Can i load drivers for ethernet cards? There is a list of COMPATIBLE NICs??

did you assign interfaces first?

Cangrejo - make sure you assign the nics.

Once you do that, and even if you have the LAN set to default IP address, connect the WAN side to your internet connection, and then the LAN side to your computer, and you should be able to log on.

I was having a simular issue as you, and then I did that and it worked.

after the splash that gives you the menu. its Option 1 I think (the one that says assign nics) and then you set one nic for Lan, and then one for WAN. It will then say it needs to reboot, let it.
after it comes back up, hook your internet side to the WAN and the computer side to LAN, and then you should be able to pull up the web-interface and start making your adjustments.
