Can m0n0wall be configured to obtain its LAN or OPT IP addresses from a DHCP server?

I need to NAT from the WAN interface to an internal node on a network where the provider controls the IP address assignments via DHCP.

He must have some static IPs set aside.  no one I know uses the entire range for DHCP.

I AGREE!

The "internal" network is an appliance that is designed to have five remote terminals.

It's network: 10.0.0.0/29
It's IP: 10.0.0.1
It's DHCP range: 10.0.0.2-6

AND ... DHCP assignments are random ... AND remote terminals are shutoff at night, on the weekends, etc. SO, the IP address available for use by my NAT node is always changing.

I was in a pinch to make this work - didn't have time to script and secure a dedicated node on site. m0n0wall's highly configurable setup to the rescue!

I ended up -
* Configuring WAN/NAT like normal
* Assigned 10.0.0.2 to LAN
* Installed the appliance on OPT1
* Configuring OPT1 & LAN in bridge mode
* Firewall denied all DHCP traffic between OPT1 & LAN
* Enabled m0n0wall's DHCP server for 10.0.0.3-7
* Placed all remote terminals on LAN
* Firewall denied all WAN traffic to the LAN
* NAT rewrite rule for the appliance to/from WAN
