I have an application where they want a multi bandwidth level Tier system for bandwidth allowances based upon their users level of importance to them....similar example would be....

Gold Member, Silver Member, Bronze Member, ect ect

They want the Gold to have access to the most bandwidth, silver the next most and so on.....

How can we accomplich this setup inside CP or monowall 1.8.1 software?

Please help any ideas?Huh  thx  DR01

You have a few options...  With Captive Portal, you can use RADIUS and have bandwidth restrictions.  It was made fully WISPr compliant a few years back, but I have not tested it in a while...

Another is to use the Traffic Shaper, but you will need to do some work with IP addresses here.

Lee, so I can modify traffic shaper to shape the traffic by IP address per user? How would that take place based upon an unknown IP at time of a user using the network and their credential level?

You would have to use static IP assignments for know users, and unknown get the lowest level.

so nothing automatic with unknown users daily transient coming and going.....?? bummer....there are gateway and router products out there now that perform Tier level bandwidth management based upon level of user guest at time of check in.....such as the VP3600 by Valuepoint.....have you heard of that gateway?

RADIUS.  You can use it to set bandwidth limitations.  As stated, m0n0wall was given WISPr compliance.  However, you will need a RADIUS server with accounting set up.

Is there any documentation on which attributes need to be sent to enable service?  I sent the WISPr-Bandwidth-Max-Up  and WISPr-Bandwidth-Max-Down but the speeds are not throttled to the attributes that were sent.

We did this a long time, and several versions ago.  It may not still work.  However, to enable it you have to enable "Per-user bandwidth restriction" on the Captive Portal page with a default bandwidth.  RADIUS can change that setting.
