Hi,

I have installed version 1.8.1 monowall (generic-pc-1.8.1.iso) onto hyper-v (vhdx hard disk) using 2 nics.

Nic 1 = Wan (bridged to machine nic)(dhcp) (IP=192.168.0.0/24)
Nic2 = Lan (Internal) (10.0.0.1/24)

I am using the legacy network adapters

The issue i am having is when firewall i rebooted i cannot access monowall gui or route through.

The good news is i have a workaround.

from the console i select option 6 (ping) and then ping a machine on the Lan segment. as soon as i get a ping response then i can access the webgui from lan and traffic routes through firewall.

is this a bug?

regards,

Damian

At work I never use Legacy, and the only non-Windows VM is a Red Hat distro based appliance.
And iirc that doesn't even have Hyper-V integration tools in it.

Have you tried using the normal network adapter (on a holiday break so forgetting things Smiley ).
Also, in some cases a static MAC addresss works magic too.

You have two VM-Switches I take it?
