Has anyone been able to successfully run 1.34a on a 6501 box?

Edited to add - I do have 1.81 running on the Soekris box but I've been reading about others having IPSEC and PPTP issues with 1.81 and we rely heavily on these for site interconnection and the mobile users.  I tried using 1.34a on the box using both the embedded and generic PC builds but nether appeared to work and I'm not sure why.  I was hoping that I missed something that was easy to fix.

Edited again to add - Maybe another way of stating this is has anyone had a successful install of either a mixed m0n0wall environment using PPTP and IPsec (i.e. 1.33/4a to 1.81) or maybe just a pure 1.81 on all boxes with the same services?  My concern is upgrading to 1.81 and then starting to have connectivity issues in a mixed environment.  I can replace most of the boxes but I have one in our office in Chile which isn't so easy to get new hardware to, or at least, in a timely manner.

I have done 1.34 to 1.8b.x and 1.8.1, and 1.8.b2 with no problems.

I wanted to follow up on this thread for the benefit of all you readers from the future!   Wink

I was unable to get 1.3x to function on the new Soekris 6501 and had to use 1.81 on those units.  I'm currently, and successfully, running in a mixed m0n0wall environment with two of my four locations running 1.34a (on old Soekris 4801 units) and communicating with m0n0wall 1.81 via IPsec with no errors for over a month now.  I also run many mobile VPN clients off of my main unit and they aren't reporting any issues either.

Hope this helps someone.

Edited to fix - it was a 6501 not 6801.  The 6801 isn't due out until Q1 2015.

The 1.3x versions do not support the NICs, and neither did the 1.8-beta versions up to some point.
I believe I was the first to address this (topic is here somewhere) and the driver got added.

Working great till my -30 died. Got a new one coming towards me now under RMA.
The driver got added about 2 to 3 years ago already.
