Hi,

I am trying on m0n0wall for the first time. I downloaded the CD-ROM version and tried to boot with that and got the following error:

Here is the error ....

Fault trap 12: Page fault while in kernal mode

fault virtual address: 0x49435024

fault code: supervisor write, page not present

instruction pointer = ....................

static pointer = ....................

panic: page fault

The system is a ThinkPad  Intel P-III (M) CPU with 512MB RAM and 20GB Hard Disk with 10 GB Free Space.

I have no Floppy disk, could this be the reason?

Any help to work around this problem is appreciated...

TIA.

Try to run a memtest on your RAM, it says it can't write on it's page, wich usually means your RAM is broken.

might want to try the 1.3 beta. It's probably something the old FreeBSD version 1.2 uses doesn't like about that particular hardware.
