Do you have the latest BIOS? Could be a BIOS bug, I recall one of those Dimension XPS boxes a few years back, I was running stock FreeBSD and had issues until I updated it to the latest version.

If that doesn't do it, if you use different NIC's, does it boot? I haven't had good luck with D-Link in general.
