How about permanent ARP entries? Would they have any effect on the rest of the network via the switch?

I've got one of my machines setup to sleep and then wake up on unicast messages, but when the arp cache expires, the unicast message doesn't know where to go.

I'm using a 3com baseline switch which has no options, would is be possible to set the arp information in m0n0wall?

You can use static ARP with <shellcmd>
