Greetings,
I have had monowall up and running for 70days now. I had a quick disaster recovery type question.
Currently my monowall box is booting to a cdrom, then using a USB thumb drive for the config file. Is there a way I can put the config.xml file on the cdrom so that it just boots from that and runs without the need of the USB drive? I understand if I do it this way it will be READ ONLY, but I want to have a cdrom disc just in case the USB thumb drive craps out.
Is there a guide on how to do this? I looked at this:
http://doc.m0n0.ch/handbook-single/and this forum and did not find any reference to this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Good USB drives are very reliable.
I have had one for nearly 6 years and its still running strong.
Nowadays they are so cheap too.
I would stick with USB drive, just backup your config in case you need to upload later.
