Hello First I want to say that this is a very fine bit of software.

I am working with the 1.3b8 (01/12/2008) version.

I have a question about Vouchers. I have the captive portal running (works fine). I turned on the Voucher system and I can get it to give me a CSV file with voucher numbers no problem. The problem is the timeout. Here is my test setup. The captive portal’s Authentication is set to “Local user manager” with a timeout of 1 min (test system). The Vouchers are set to timeout in 5 min. When I log into my system with a voucher ('auth_voucher' in the html login file) it lets me in but only for 1 min not 5 min. If I immediately log back in I can continue for another 1 min and so on until 5 min has expired. Why is it doing this? When I use the “Test Vouchers” screen it shows the correct 5 min for the voucher. Also it shows the voucher logged in with the correct time counting down. After 5 min it shows the voucher expired. So after all that if my question was not clear it is why the timeout is not correct it is kicking the user out at 1 min with a voucher and not 5 min?

 Huh  Huh

why and where did you set the 1 minute timeout and why? I never used it in combination with vouchers, its also not designed to mix those.

I set the 1 min on the first page of the captive portal in the “Hard timeout” section. If they cannot be used together do I leave the field blank?

After some testing I found that I need to leave the “Hard timeout” section field blank. Even thought it states that it is not recommended.

Good work on the Voucher system mwiget
