Is their a limit to the number of vlans that can be assigned? I know that i need the correct NICs for vlans to work, but would i need anything else for 1000+ VLAN tags?

In my situation I have every port on a my switches Vlaned, that i would like to terminate on the monowall.

My requirements are

All clients on vlans use the same default gateway that is assigned via DHCP
Would like captive portal on all VLAN ports, (Not supported???)
Traffic shapping on all VLAN Ports?

On 1.2x versions you won't be able to run more than 32 instances of the DHCP server.

When you have a large number of interfaces, the tabs on the firewall rules page scroll way off the screen to the right and it gets to be very difficult to work with the GUI once you get over 20-30 interfaces or so.

I wouldn't suggest running that many interfaces on one box just for the firewall rules issues.

But if you try it, let us know how it goes.
