hello

everytime i restart my host (directly connected to m0n0wall) and boot into a different XP - the m0n0wall cannot be pinged anymore / no connection..

if i let run wireshark, i see that my host is trying to get the MAC for the m0n0wall but it does not answer at all, not a single packet is received / but the NIC is declared as "up".. only a reboot of m0n0wall does restore connectivity..

the IP of both OS is the same and the MAC too of course, as it is the very same NIC.. ( i tried also with a different NIC and driver - same issue)

somebody an idea?

there is to say that

it only happens with the m0n0wall (sometimes also if i boot my pc 2 -3 times in short intervals) and not with p.ex. the linksys wrt54gl with tomato equipped... really strange... i tried several things on my NIC (auto negotiation, set to dhcp) no impacts...
