Hi,

Atheros wireless card on Alix board. Defaults to 11 channels. Trying to change countrycode to UK to get 13 channels

Under Linux I can run these commands. Works fine.

sudo modprobe -r ath_pci
sudo modprobe ath_pci countrycode=826

Anyone know anyway I can do this on monowall. Running 1.3b4.

Thanks.

Hi,

I have the same question.

How can I use channels 12 and 13? I have an ALIX with a WLM54AGP23 card (Atheros chip).

I am running 1.3b11

Best Regards,
Tiago Baptista

Not that it really matters. Wifi b & g really only have 3 channels....

1, 6 and 11.

This due to the channel overlap. There is really no point in using 12 and 13 instead of 11.

Unless you can make sure that there is no 11B equipment in the area.

Before you spend too much time trying to work this out, check your wireless clients support 1-13.

In Australia, we can use 1-13. Most of the laptops I have come across have 2915abg or 3945abg wireless cards in them. All the ones I have looked at only support 1-11.
