Hi! im new with monowall, and i have a few questions.

What is this that appears in my mono-log?

Apr 29 19:17:58 /kernel: xl0: transmission error: 90
Apr 29 19:17:58 /kernel: xl0: tx underrun, increasing tx start threshold to 120 bytes
Apr 29 19:18:36 /kernel: xl0: transmission error: 90
Apr 29 19:18:36 /kernel: xl0: tx underrun, increasing tx start threshold to 180 bytes
Apr 29 21:24:05 /kernel: xl0: transmission error: 90
Apr 29 21:24:05 /kernel: xl0: tx underrun, increasing tx start threshold to 240 bytes

I have one 3com eth and one Encore, mono works fine with Encore with chipset rtl8029?
Its better if I use 2 same eths?

What eth card you recommend?

Thanks!!

For the 3Com cards, those are just dianostic messages that can be ignored. Just haven't been taken out of the driver yet in the release of FreeBSD that m0n0wall uses. I've used 3Com cards for years of service without any issues at all, so as far as I know, pretty rock solid. My favorites are the 3C905-TX cards because they are so cheap on e-bay.  Grin

I only use Intel Pro 100.  They are also available on eBay for a very reasonable price.

My favorite too, good cards at a cheap price. I've had good luck with them also.
