Hey, I just read in a Washington Times article that some spam king has the 134.17 network.  I figured I'd throw a firewall rule in m0n0 that blocks that network.  I created a new rule, set to block, set source IP to network and put 134.17.0.0 /16 but it kept saying I had to enter a valid source IP.  I thought that was the way to do it..?  What should I be putting in there?

Thanks!

It's not crystal clear (to me) what you are doing - so maybe my question for you is silly.

Are you putting 134.17.0.0 /16 in the Address: box or are you putting 134.17.0.0 there and then selecting /16 from the drop down list?

I was choosing 16 from the dropdown.  I just went to try again, figured I'd take a screen shot and it friggin worked.  -shrug-  Weird.  I entered the exact same thing.  I must have made a typo or something that I didn't realize last time, hehe.  Thanks anyway Smiley

Adding/changing rules doesn't always work immediately. You have to reset the firewall state (see Diagnostics | Reset state) or reboot.

I've never had to do this before? When I put in a block rule, it works as soon as I hit apply. If I turn it off, things are allowed back through as soon as I hit apply. I just did a test to verify this. I was only able to test a certain IP, do you mean this would apply to a range of IP instead?
