we need the captive portal splash page to always splash onto users screens when logging into the network no matter what their statis IP is set to on their TCIP settings. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this feature work? It seems only DHCP clients can attach to the network and static IP clients have to switch over to TCIP DHCP setting in order for them to get the splash page.

Any global settings in b11 version that will allow users with static IP settings to get the splash page?

thx....

Change the "Idle timeout" under the Services:Captive Portal to XX minutes.

idle timeout settings does not enable any static IP user to recieve the captive portal page...any ideas how any user with any IP statically assigned can attach to the network through the captive portal page?

I just tested captive portal with a static IP address and the captive portal page still came up properly.

I think the problem with static IP is that you have to make sure you have "everything" in the static IP setup such as gateway and DNS servers or else it wouldn't work anyway.

This was with a 1.233 m0n0wall system, not sure what the betas are doing at the moment.
