Only have one harddrive (Samsung) with two partitions, and a newly bought multicard-reader/writer witih the 1GB CF-card put into.
Running it from Vista, with commandprompt opened as administrator.

I can copy regular files to it in windows, so the card or reader/writer doesn't seem to be broken anyway.

Eh, after removing it and putting it in again, I CANT use it in windows...all the four appearing removable drives give "cant find disk", but on the other hand this time physdiskwrite COULD write the image.....or so it seems.

Beats me, I dont get any of this :s

Now lets try a boot...

Oh boy, its working SmileySmileySmiley
I'm a bit of a paraniod person, so I will probably be worried quite a while somethings wrong with the CF-card or similar, cause of my initial problems....when windows could see it it didn't work with physwrite, but when windows stopped seeing it physwrite worked :s

Oh well, router is up now, after some moving back and forth with the cables....maybe LAN/WAN has to be in the right spot, or some things maybe just needed some time to come online.

I've seen this a couple times with Vista, both times just unplugging and replugging the CF writer fixed it.

I am also having the same / similar problem. I am using Windows Vista - 64 bit version (on a Intel quad processor). Built inn USB card reader.

If you search this string "24576 bytes writtenWrite error after 24576 bytes (8192)." on the forum it will pop up several places. One common problem could be the 64-bit word length in Vista. Many suspects the card reader to be faulty - but I am having a hard time believing that it could be the case.

I am going to try my old Dell with Windows XP and see if that works...
