Hello!

I have been facing this problems for a few days and I can't tell what's going on.

It happened at least two times last night. I was navigating normally when the Internet stopped working. I tried to renew my IP and tried navigating. Nothing.

Then, I tried to enter monowall's page (by hostname and by IP too). It couldn't be reached!!!

I had a IP address from DHCP but couldn't reach the gateway. The connection stopped working for everebody on my LAN.

My monowall is running in my PC, using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007. I've made a program that restarts my PC when there's no connection with the Internet or when the gateway cannot be reached. Thing is, the connection was OK on the PC!  Huh

I tried to disable and enable again the Captive Portal, but it didn't changed anything.

I restarted monowall and it all came back to normal very fast. But it happened again and again after some time. I am not sure what can be causing this, so please help me!

Have you ever heard of something like this?

Monowall 1.233
Captive Portal - ON
Mac Pass Through - 20 computers
Traffic Shaping - ON
DHCP Server - ON

Thanks in advance!

I had a similar problem also, happened radomly. been awhile since the last time it did it. basically it did everything what you mentioned. i'd be online, then at some point i'd try to go to google and can reach it. thinking its isp related, try to log into my monowal and couldn't reach it either. sometimes it came back by itself, other times i had to reboot it.

i've got 2 monowals, 1 for each internet connection on the same subnet (1 adsl, 1 cable) the adsl has the bulk of connection, running torrents off it and is the one that had these problems. this never happened on the cable one. i'm guessing either failing hardware somewhere, or pushing my monowall to its limit with alot of connections (watching cpu usage reaching around 20%). I never did find the problem, it kinda went away by itself, been awhile since the last time it happened.

running 1.233 on both.
traffic shaping and dhcp on the adsl-monowall, dhcp disabled on the cable-monowall and linksys router that acts as a wireless bridge and switch.
