When I disconnect the PPPoE connection (Status --> Interfaces), m0n0wall connects again immediately. How can I change this (other than defining a Idle timeout)? Because if I disconnect and shut my computer down, I want the connection to stay disconnected.

Why is this a problem?

Because I don't want to enable "dial-on-demand". I just want to be able to manually connect and disconnect my connection. Just the way I'm able to do it on pfSense (which is why I've switched back to the latter).

If I am not wrong you can disable "dial-on-demand" and connect in the interface status menu of the m0n0wall WebGUI.

There should be a "connect" button in the status section of the PPP interface. After connecting, the button should change to "disconnect".

Regards

Sorry! I didn't make myself clear in the beginning. ;-)

That's exactly my problem kab! When I manually disconnect my PPPoE connection, it immediately connects again automatically. And that's why I have asked if there is any possibility to stop m0n0wall from doin' that. I don't want my connection staying up all the time.

Thanks for all your help btw.!

Edit: And no, I don't have dial-on-demand enabled.
