Does anyone know why it seems that freebsd6 doesnt seem to support any wireless cards that are capable of 54mbps (g)? And if I'm mistaken and it does, where can I get one of these?

I've done quite a bit of research and found the i386 wireless list for freebsd6, it seems only prism chipsets supported by the wi driver will support hostap, and the problem seems to be so far for me that all of them are 11b not 54g. If this can't be resolved I'm going to ditch m0n0wall and look for another solution, and please dont turn this into a 'use ddwrt or tomato' discussion, I know about those options so please don't mention them. I want to focus on researching the why & how of 54g hostap under m0n0wall.

Look here: http://www.freebsd.org/releases/6.3R/hardware-i386.html#WLAN

The ath(4) driver supports many Atheros-based 11a/b/g cards (although unfortunately not the latest chips, so you need to check whether the ARxxxx chip used on a given card is supported by the driver before you buy).
