Well i have a question, I'm thinking about running a "small" business from home where I'll provide internet with "paid" services. Now i ran this to my friends at work and they told me it's a federal crime to do so and well i tried looking it up and could not find it, they explained since I'm not an ISP, plus if one of the "customers" use illegal activities example kiddie porn i'd be liable for this .
So here's some information regarding the business, I currently have a business line registered to my home address with comcast and a lot of neighbors that don't have internet access that would be interested in paying 10 bucks a month for it, so here's my question, with a custom captive portal including registration page and mac address control am i legally allowed to run this from my location or will i have to sign a re-seller contract, need some legal assistance here you're feedback would greatly be appreciated
P.S - curious also if anyone can confirm if Clear Box works with m0n0wall ?
