Is it possible to do this using m0n0wall with multiple interfaces?
Can you create an interface that only monitors another interface (LAN side)?
Can you configure port mirrowing to monitor the wan interface?

If this can't be done, it's not a big deal. I was planning to buy a managed switch; however, my 1u m0n0wall install has plenty of interfaces and it will be much easier to do it using m0n0wall rather than installing another network device.

Thanks!

This might work (i haven't tried it), run the following from the exec.php page:

ifconfig <src nic> span <target nic>

Would someone be able to test this for me? I do not have monowall configured yet.

Thanks
